In order to continue to grow a strong league, maintain consistency and in the
interest of keeping the competition equal, Pony Baseball of Spokane developed
the following method for forming teams.  This is an outline that shows the
Regions and the Districts that they are broken into.

Some explanation –

(1) Players, regardless of whether they attend a private or public school, have the
option to play for the school team first, otherwise the player will be placed on a
team within his/her given residential district.

(2) If there are not enough players to form a complete team within a given age
group in a specific District, the commissioner will have the discretion to place
those players into the next closest District, but within the same Region.

a. Example – Shadle Park is a within Region A, District 3. There are 3 additional
10 year old players in District 3 that don’t have a team to play on due to full
rosters. Those 3 players would be placed on a team or teams within District 2 as
this is still within Region A and is the next closest District.

Finally, in all cases the age specific commissioner will have the final say in any
exceptions that are granted or denied.

Please feel free to contact your commissioner for any specific questions
regarding this issue. Thanks for your attention to this and good luck in the
upcoming season!
